I love playing and teaching the piano. I started lessons when I was six years old (over 30 years ago!) and passed my Grade 8 with Merit when I was 17. I also learnt the violin, passing Grade 8 at 18, and have been singing in choirs since secondary school. After leaving school I studied Chemistry and then worked in central government and project management, becoming a full time mum after having my second daughter in 2017. Having enjoyed teaching piano when I was a teenager, I am very excited to be again helping pupils take their first steps in becoming well-rounded musicians. My aim is for lessons to be fun, flexible to the learners’ needs and relaxed, so that the pupil can be themselves and develop a real love of music and the piano.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family – husband, two daughters and Tallulah the cat – singing with the Harpenden Choral Society and visiting museums and galleries. I also volunteer for my daughter’s Rainbows unit, at school and play the keyboard and sing at Our Lady of Lourdes RC church. I have an enhanced DBS check.

If you are interested in lessons, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
