I’m Dr. Emily Helvey and I am an avid performer of art song and chamber music and an enthusiastic educator. I have taught piano for over twenty years and I have university and professional teaching, coaching, and accompanying experience. Of particular interest to me is finding ways to meet each individual student’s musical needs through their unique learning style and their own goals. I hope to instill in each student the training and zeal for music that will allow them to learn new music independently in the future and develop a personal appreciation for the art. I am pleased to offer students opportunities through the local music teachers association and proud of how my students have thrived in the Piano Safari curriculum for nearly ten years. I teach from my home studio in Little Elm.
