Kristen Mark Westwood (B.Mus., M.Mus.) is an educator, songwriter, performing artist and music producer based in Guelph, ON whose passion is to help others make meaning through sound. His teaching approach is student-centred, with an emphasis on creativity, improvisation and self-expression. In addition to teaching the fundamentals of piano technique and standard repertoire, he specializes in applied music theory, popular music techniques, chording, jazz and improvisation. He has been teaching the Piano Safari curriculum to students age 5-13 since September 2022 to great effect with both beginner and intermediate students.
