In teaching, Lisa always seeks to develop overall musicianship in her students, enabling them to learn to read music, hear music, and understand how music works, all through developing the highest possible level of pianistic ability. She has been delighted to incorporate Piano Safari and Piano Safari Friends into the studio to these ends. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music, in Toronto, in both piano performance and teaching, Lisa has been teaching since 1986, and her students have had repeated success in festivals and graded exams of the R.C.M. Having completed a Master’s degree in piano performance, she also holds degrees in music education and in psychology from the University of Toronto.
