Description

Teodora Tonea Owen, originally from Romania, attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, United Kingdom, for her undergraduate studies prior to attending the Piano and Pedagogy graduate program at Ohio University’s School of Music as a Graduate Assistant under the direction of Dr. Christopher Fisher. At the Royal Conservatoire, Tonea Owen studied piano performance with concert pianist Jonathan Plowright and participated in master classes with renowned performers such as Pascal Roge, Joseph Seiger, Fali Pavri and Graeme McNaught. She also studied with Adriano Ambrossini at the Conservatorio Dall’Abbaco in Verona, Italy. 

Highlighted performances include recitals and collaborations in the United States, Italy, Sweden, Romania, Switzerland, and across United Kingdom, as well as solo appearances with  the Oradea State Philharmonic in Romania and the Ohio University Symphony Orchestra. Tonea Owen has a successful private studio and is an up-and-coming collaborative pianist, improviser and arranger.
