Student Unit MapThe following Unit Maps are provided as a free download to accompany the Piece Cards for Level 1 and Level 2. These provide organization and motivation for students as they work through the Piano Safari Method.

Step 1. Download the Unit Map for the unit your student is working on. Print it on cardstock and tape or put it in a three ring binder.

Step 2. When you assign a piece, the student tapes the Piece Card for that piece on the appropriate place on the Unit Map.

Step 3. The student practices all the pieces on the Unit Map. If you would like to, you may put a sticker on the Piece Card as the student masters the piece, and another sticker for memorizing the piece.

Step 4. At each lesson, play through all the pieces on the Unit Map. This allows the student to master and review all the pieces in each unit repeatedly and lessens the focus on “passing pieces.”

Step 5. Upon completion of everything on the Unit Map, the student graduates to the new Unit Map for the next unit.
